Privacy policy

Plain version: we collect what we need to plan your date nights, we never sell it, and you can delete it anytime.
What we collect
- From you: your name and email, your spouse's first name (and email, if you want calendar invites sent to them), ZIP code, kids' first names or nicknames, ages and bedtimes, babysitter preferences, budget, taste preferences and any notes you choose to share.
- Phone number, only if you opt in to text reminders. We record when you gave consent.
- Payment details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic site data such as pages visited and device type, to keep the site working and improve it.
How we use it
- To build and send your date plans, at-home dates, reminders and calendar invites.
- To run billing and customer support.
- To send the Friday Date Drop newsletter if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To improve plans based on your ratings.
We use AI tools to help draft plans. Your information is used only to create your plans and is not used to train public models where we can control that setting.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Date Night Dad, such as hosting (Vercel), payments (Stripe), email (Resend) and text messaging, under agreements that limit their use of your data. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Text messages
If you opt in, we send up to 8 plan-reminder texts a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Your mobile number and consent are never shared with third parties for their marketing.
Affiliate links
Some links to venues or products may be affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer may know you came from us. We never pick a venue or gift because it pays us.
Kids' information
Date Night Dad is for adults. We collect limited information about your children (first name or nickname, age, bedtime, care notes) only from you, the parent, and only to plan around bedtime and write the sitter checklist.
Your choices
You can view, correct, export or delete your information anytime by emailing adam.camacho92@mail.grokbot.com. We delete account data within 30 days of a deletion request, except what we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
Security
We use reputable providers, encryption in transit, and access controls. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong we will tell you promptly.
