What is Date Night Dad?
Date Night Dad is a date night planning subscription for busy parents. Each month you get two local date plans and two at-home dates, built around your kids' bedtimes, your babysitter and your budget, plus text reminders so the date actually happens.
How much does Date Night Dad cost?
Core costs $12 a month or $99 a year and includes two local date plans and two at-home dates each month. Plus costs $24 a month and adds a third plan and special-occasion planning. Both start with a 14-day free trial. A 3-month gift is $36.
What cities does Date Night Dad cover?
Date Night Dad launches in Nashville, Tennessee, including Germantown, East Nashville, The Gulch, 12 South, Midtown and nearby suburbs within your chosen drive time. Other cities can join the waitlist.
Does Date Night Dad book reservations or babysitters for me?
Not yet. Each plan includes direct reservation and ticket links, a reminder to book, and a babysitter checklist you can send to your sitter. You make the booking in a couple of taps, so you stay in control of payment and cancellations.
What if we can't get a babysitter?
Every month includes two at-home dates designed for after the kids are asleep, with a timeline, shopping list and playlist. Every local plan also includes a backup option, and you can reply SWAP to get a different plan.
How is the date plan personalized?
Plans are based on a 5-minute questionnaire covering your neighborhood, drive time, kids' ages and bedtimes, sitter situation, budget, food preferences and interests. After each date you rate it with one tap, and future plans adjust to what you liked.
Is Date Night Dad only for dads?
No. Dads are who we write for, but wives sign up too. The questionnaire asks whether you are a husband or a wife and whether you are planning dates with your wife or your husband, and every plan is worded to match.
How much does a date night in Nashville cost with a babysitter?
It depends on your plans, but sitter time is usually the biggest fixed cost: Care.com lists the average starting babysitter rate in Nashville at $20.67 an hour as of October 2026. Every Date Night Dad plan shows the full budget, sitter included, before you commit.
Can Date Night Dad make the dinner reservation for me?
Not yet. Book it for me is coming soon as a Plus perk: a booking bot that will look for a table on OpenTable or Resy at your plan's restaurant and time window, try the backup if it's full, and always check with you before it books. It will never pay a deposit or card hold without your approval. Until it launches, every plan includes the direct reservation link. You can join the waitlist at getdatenightdad.com/book-it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel Core or Plus anytime from your account at getdatenightdad.com/account, and you won't be charged again. If you cancel during the 14-day free trial, you pay nothing.
